Wood Academy’s Basic Woodworking Class for TEENS
Class Time: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Age Requirement: 13 – 18 yrs. old
Woodworking for teens is a fun, hands-on craft that builds real-world confidence, patience, and problem-solving skills away from digital screens. We introduce both hand tools and power tools to learn control and feel of building a full-sized sturdy WOODEN STOOL: A classic, quintessential debut to woodworking. It teaches fundamental geometry, structural integrity, and material behavior.
This project seamlessly bridges the gap between the traditional and the modern, where the youth will learn how to transform raw boards into a piece of functional furniture.
A step-by-step construction guide on measuring and crosscutting, squaring and edge prep, mechanical drilling, assembly and sanding are the workshop’s sequence.
This immersive experience connects the NextGen directly to real-world challenges.
